BEHIND HELLO PART

Behind Hello Part

Hello Part grew out of years of sitting with people as they got to know their inner systems.

One of the things I love most about this work is watching what happens when we stop trying to analyze, fix, or get rid of what’s happening inside and begin approaching it with openness and curiosity instead.

We can know a lot about ourselves. We can recognize our patterns, understand why we react the way we do, and even know exactly what we wish we could change.

But knowing those things and actually getting to know what’s happening inside can be two very different experiences.

That’s the space Hello Part grew from.

WHY SOMETHING HANDS-ON?

Something to explore, not just read.

I wanted to create something that invited people into the experience rather than simply giving them more information.

And I wanted it to feel creative.

I’ve always been a maker. I make pottery, I work with my hands, and I tend to think visually. There’s something about physically interacting with something — writing on it, drawing on it, turning a page, noticing an image, coming back and adding something later — that feels very different from simply absorbing information.

So I started imagining something that felt less like doing worksheets and more like having somewhere to explore.

Somewhere you could scribble in the margins. Draw something badly. Change your mind. Skip a page. Come back three weeks later. Notice that a question suddenly lands differently than it did the first time.

Something that becomes more yours the more you use it.

That became Hello Part.

ABOUT MERETE

Maker, practitioner, curious human.

I’m Merete Gudrun, an IFS Practitioner, Level 3 trained and certified through the IFS Institute. My work with people centers around helping them approach their inner worlds with more openness, curiosity, and compassion.

I’m also a potter and a lifelong maker of things, which probably explains why this work eventually turned into something I wanted people to be able to hold in their hands.

Hello Part brings those worlds together: years of working with people and their inner systems, my love of making things, and my belief that sometimes we understand ourselves differently when we have the chance to experience rather than simply explain.
